Q & A's

Find answers to common questions about our hair and makeup services, booking process, and policies.

Our client communication and administrative hours for hair and makeup inquiries are Monday–Friday, 10am–6pm. During this time, we respond to emails and phone calls regarding bookings and services. We are unable to respond to emails on weekends as we are focused on providing an excellent experience for our on-location hair and makeup clients who are booked for weddings and events during that time.

For the fastest and most organized response, please use email or our contact form when inquiring about hair and makeup services. This allows us to keep all your event details in one place and ensure a seamless booking experience. We are also available by phone during business hours (Monday–Friday, 10am–6pm). Please refrain from texting and instead call and leave a voicemail if we are unavailable, so we can get back to you shortly!

We send all of our contracts via email in a shared Word document. We're happy to clarify anything on the contract before it gets completed.

All booking fees and retainers are paid securely via Venmo. A direct payment link is available at the bottom of this page and on our Contact page for your convenience. Your date is officially secured once your retainer has been received.

Unless otherwise arranged at booking, your hair and makeup appointment will take place at the artist’s studio location, which varies by city: Pittsburgh, Atlanta, or New Orleans. Your full location details will be provided in your confirmation email within 72 hours of your scheduled service.

Please come with a fresh, completely makeup free face. For hair appointments, your hair must be washed and blown completely dry within 12-15 hours of your appointment. Hair should be "lived in", but not dirty. This applies to event makeups, trials, weddings, bridal parties, etc. As far as inspiration photos, please narrow down your choices to no more than 1-3 photos per service (1-3 photos for hair or 1-3 for makeup) with a model that has a similar hair/skin color to yours. We will go over these during your hair/makeup consultation included in your appointment time.

Please bring no more than one supportive friend or family member to your hair/makeup trial or appointment. We highly recommend choosing your best hype woman/friend rather than your “too honest” friend so you can enjoy the experience and leave feeling your your best.

Nope! You do not need to book us for both hair and makeup services. We offer flexible booking options, so you can choose just hair or just makeup, or book both as a combined package. When available, our team can also accommodate full hair and makeup services for your bridal or event day.

There are no hidden fees in our pricing. You will see where every dollar is being spent in your outlined contract and what it is for. Our packages show base pricing which includes only the services themselves - added on to your contract will be fees specifically pertaining to travel, parking, early start time fees for your day where applicable, and an automatic included 20% gratuity.

Yes, we're happy to share more information upon request.

Yes - we are always a safe space to help you bring the vision to life you see for yourself long term or just in the moment. We offer anything from slight grooming/polishing beauty services to full glam looks. We will always greet you openly and listen to your wants in a desired look. Every service is tailored to ensure you feel confident, seen, and fully yourself. Pricing may vary depending on client's specific needs and vision.

We recommend booking us for your bridal hair and makeup 10–12 months in advance to secure your date, especially for peak wedding seasons in Pittsburgh, Atlanta, and New Orleans. Dates fill quickly, so the earlier you inquire, the better chance you have of reserving your date and our team availability. Last-minute availability may be possible, but is very limited.
